The Quedgeley Show 2011

For each year for the last 38 years the Quedgeley show has been held. Many aspects of modern life have unfortunately gone by the board, but here in Quedgeley your local Community Trust has tried to retain just a few through the show. Our annual show is not on the lines of the major agricultural shows, in fact many local shows have ceased to be, but ours continues and it does give a few local people an opportunity to show off their gardening, cooking and many other skills.

This year’s Quedgeley Show was be held at Severn Vale School on Saturday 16th July in conjunction with the school's 50th anniversary celebration weekend.

Quedgeley Show 2011 Shield and Cup Winners

• The Brearey Cup (Wine Making) was won by Robin Screen
• The Davenport Shield (Garden Produce) went to Abbie Klus
• The Freemantle Plate for Art and Craft went to Doris Nash
• Gold Diggers Cup for Children’s Display: Field Court Infants
• Balchin Trophy for Home Baking: Carol Lloyd
• Sharply Shield for Photography: Jean McCarthy
• W.I. Shield for most points by a W.I. Member: June Bitten
• Display by Children’s/Youth Groups: 1st Field Court Infants, 2nd 1st Severn Rainbows and 3rd Scouts
