The Quedgeley Show 2010

For each year for the last 36 years the Quedgeley show has been held. Many aspects of modern life have unfortunately gone by the board, but here in Quedgeley your local Community Trust has tried to retain just a few through the show. Our annual show is not on the lines of the major agricultural shows, in fact many local shows have ceased to be, but ours continues and it does give a few local people an opportunity to show off their gardening, cooking and many other skills.

This year’s Quedgeley Show was be held at Severn Vale School on Saturday 10th July.

Quedgeley Show 2010 Shield and Cup Winners

• The Brearey Cup (Wine Making) was won by Robin Screen
• The Davenport Shield (Garden Produce) went to Carena Sharpley
• Janet Freemantle collected the Quedgeley Community Cup (Flowers)
• The Freemantle Plate for Art and Craft went to June Bitten
• The Balchin Trophy for home baking went to Rosemary Gudge
• The Ross Trophy was won by Tim Bircher
• The Sharpley Shield (both for Photography) was awarded to Jean McCarthy
• The W.I. Shield went to Kathleen Snoad and the W.I. Cup to June Bitten

David Brearey, a past Chairman of Quedgeley Community Trust presented the prizes along with Graham Sharpley and Kevin Tudor, the current QCT Chairman. Pictures of this year’s show and previous years can be viewed on the photographs section of the site.
